What baroque freshwater pearls actually are
Share

Most pearls you see in a case are round on purpose. Baroque freshwater pearls are not. They come out of the mussel slightly irregular — a little longer, a little dimpled, never quite the same twice.
That is the point. A round strand looks finished in a factory. A baroque strand looks like it was made by a person, because it was. The color runs from milk-white into blush and lilac depending on the mollusk, not on a dye bath.
TEMPT uses natural freshwater baroque pearls, usually on a short collarbone length with a silver-tone clasp. Each piece is a little different. We ship to the US with delivery included, typically 8–15 days.
If you want the round, matched look, this is not that shop. If you want something you can wear on a Tuesday without looking dressed for a gala, this is closer.
